Bradley Edwards, the Director of Research for the Institute for Scientific Research, may have a new way of transporting people to space using the idea of a space elevator. The space elevator could allow people to quickly and inexpensively travel into space.

It has the power to transform handwritten text into an interactive file, thus introducing a multimedia feature to any ordinary notebook. This tool has several devices such as a USB connector, an infrared camera, and an audio jack. This device will definitely change the way people practice mobile computing.

American architect, Louis Kahn, is probably known best for building The National Assembly Building in Bangladesh, which brought democracy to the country. Unfortunately, the building of the National Assembly of Bangladesh took Louis Kahn away from his family more than he would have liked. 35 years later, Louis Kahn’s son, Nathaniel Kahn, pays homage to the great architect in his documentary, “My Architect”. During this making of the film, he interviewed the people with whom his father worked on the construction of the National Assembly. In this way, Nathaniel was able to discover how great a man his father really was.

Czech Company, CODA Development, Invents Self Inflating Tires: the Perfect Combination of Safe Driving and Energy Efficiency

CODA Development, a company in the Czech Republic, has developed a self inflating tire that can inflate a tire while it is in use, allowing for safer driving. Not only does a self inflating tire could ensure safer driving, but it also has some other advantages such as energy efficiency. According to CODA Development’s estimation, 1.24 billion gallons of fuel per year could be saved by proper tire pressure in the United States alone.

While this phone is only a concept at the moment, the manufacturer believes that some of the imagined features could appear in devices by 2015.

Imagine entering into an apartment where the furniture, from the lamp to the table, are suspended in midair, and the shelves do not need to be secured to the walls. Most people would simply believe this idea to be science-fiction, but it is actually possible. Thanks to the work of Angela Jansen and Ger Jansen, these pieces of furniture will enter into our homes faster than we can imagine. The Dutch company Crealev, short for “Creative Levitation Solutions”, has been working on implementing and perfecting levitation technology that allow furniture to float. This technology is not only innovative, it allows the designers to express their creativity without any limits.

British Company Mindstorm Develops iBar, which turns a Bar-Counter into an Interactive and Visual Experience

In the future, a night at the bar will be an interactive and visual experience with the British company Mindstorm’s iBar , the intelligent surface system. This bar-counter is able to detect all objects touching the surface and objects can be illuminated. The bar has integrated video-projectors, which can project any image onto the countertop. iBar’s tracking system can detect any object that is placed on the bar, and the lights can interact dynamically with the object.
